Spooner to do a Nooner…not that…a 12:00 show on Women’s Radio

Posted in Personal Development on January 31st, 2007

Pat Lynch CEO of Women’s Radio and a most outstanding lady is always looking for any competitive advantage that she can find.  To be honest she has found many over the years.  It looks as though she may have found another gem in the rough in James Spooner.  James and with Pat’s blessing may have a permanent place among the tabloids of Women’s Radio.  Pat is one very dynamic and amazing women.  For those of us who know her personally many are amazed at her great stamina.  Heck I don’t know many individuals who work seven days a week 12 hours a day (that may be underestimated) myself excluded.  Pat’s ability to spot emerging trends before they emerge and become mainstream is a special gift.  I have heard through the grapevine that there are some very significant and important changes taking place at www.womensradio.com that could have a dramatic impact on the lives of many women.  Watch for those to slowly emerge and watch or listen for James Spooner to make his debute.

One more quote that rings right

Posted in Personal Development on January 29th, 2007

Promise Yourself:

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds.

To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

From Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone

“More gold has been mined from the thoughts of men than has been taken from the earth.”  Hey I’m in a gold recovery project right now and that is for sure the case.

“Persistence is to the character of man as carbon is to steel.”

“One must marry one’s feelings to one’s belief’s and ideas.  That is probably the only way to achieve a measure of harmony in one’s life.”

“No man is whipped until he quits in his own mind.”

“No man can succeed in a line of endeavor which he does not like.”

More tomorrow but tomorrow will be the last day of these quotes.

Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone more words of wisdom

Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat.  Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win-essential to success.

If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.

If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self.

Just as our eyes need light in order to see, our minds need ideas in order to conceive.

It has always been my belief that a man should do his best, regardless of how much he receives for his services , or the number of people he may serving or the class of people served.

Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality: man alone, can dream and make his dreams come true.

Money without brains is always dangerous.

I must be a quote freak but they all make such great sense and still have such great meaning.

Do not wait; the time will never be “just right.”  Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.

Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.

Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.

Hold a picture of yourself long and steadily enough in your mind’s eye, and you will be drawn toward it.

Ideas are the beginging points of all fortunes.

More in the next few days.

What is mental chemistry?

Posted in Personal Development on January 19th, 2007

WHAT IS MENTAL CHEMISTRY?

Chemistry is the science which treats of the inta-atomic or the intra-molecular changes that materials things undergo under various conditions. Mental is defined as “of or pertaining to the mind, including intellect, feeling, and will, or the entire rational nature.” Science is knowledge gained and verified by exact observation and correct thinking. Mental chemistry is, therefore, the science which treats of the changes that conditions undergo through the operation of the mind. As the transformations that are brought about in applied chemistry are the result of the orderly combination of materials, it follows that mental chemistry brings about results in a like manner.  Any conceivable number may be formed with the Arabic numerals 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0.  Any conceivable thing can be organized with the elements currently known to man and always and only by the proper grouping of electrons into molecules.  When two or more molecules are grouped, a new individuality is created, and this individuality that has been called into being possesses characteristics that are not possessed by either of the elements that gave it being. Thus one atom of sodium and one of chlorine give us salt, and this combination alone can give us salt, and no other combination of elements can give us salt, and salt is something very different from either of the elements of which it is composed.  What is true in the inorganic world is likewise true in the organic ….certain conscious processes will produce certain effect and the result will invariable be the same.  The same thought will always be filled by the same consequence no other thought will serve the purpose. This must be true because the principle must exist independently of the organs which they function.  Light must exist otherwise there could be no eye.  Sound must exist otherwise there cold be no ear.  Mind must exist otherwise there could be no brain.  Mental action is therefore the interaction of the individual upon the Universal Mind, and as the Universal Mind is the intelligence which prevails all space and animates all living things, this mental action and reaction is the laws of causation.     Energy is what thoughts are made of so thughts always become things or forms of action leading to things.

Just can’t get enough of these classic quotes…Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone

Check these out…how right on are these?

A goal is a dream with a deadline.

Education comes from within: you get it by struggle and effort and thought.

All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea.

Any idea, plan, or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought.

Knowledge has no value except that which can be gained by its application.

Action is the real measure of intelligence.

Big pay and little responsibility are circumstances seldom found together.

Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.

Man is this stuff so on target it is not even funny.  I just can’t get enough of this funky stuff.  Hope you are in the same boat.

The lasting influence of Napoleon Hill

Posted in Personal Development on January 16th, 2007

To continue our earlier thoughts lets review more of Hill’s brilliance.

“War grows out of the desire of the individual to gain advantage at the expense of his fellow man.”

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.”

“You must get involved to have an impact.  NO one is impressed with the won-lost record of the referee.”

“The sixth sense is that portion of the subconscious mind which has been referred to as the creative imagination.  It has also been referred to as the ‘receiving set’ through which ideas, plans and thoughts flash into the mind.  The flashes are sometimes called hunches or inspirations.”

More a little later.

Napoleon Hill and icon to reckon with…even today 124 years after his birth.

More quotes from “the man.”

“After you have mastered the principles described in this book, you will be prepared to accept as truth a statement which may, otherwise, be incredible to you, namely:

“Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending dangers intime to avoid them and notified of oppotunities in time to embrace them.

“There comes to your aid and to do your bidding, with the development of the sixth sense, a ‘guardian angel’ who will open to you at all times the door to the temple of wisdom.”

“One must marry one’s feelings to one’s beliefs and ideas.  That is probably the only way to achieve a measure of harmony in one’s life.”

The end for today.
