5 Steps to Creating and Achieving Your Personal Development Plan
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Duncan_Brodie]Duncan Brodie

A personal development plan helps you to grow and achieve. So why do so few people take the time to create one? Two potential reasons are:

• Lack of know how

• Fear of limiting themselves

There are 5 key steps in creating a personal development plan

1. Do a personal stock-take of your strengths and development needs. As well as your own assessment get the input of others. They can often see talents that you are not aware of or are failing to fully utilise.

2. Think about what development will help you most in achieving your professional and personal goals.

3. Decide which methods of delivery will have greatest impact on your learning. We all have different ways of learning so find out what works best for you.

4. Set out a calendar of development events for the next 12 months. This makes it real and more likely to be achieved.

5. Put an accountability structure in place to ensure you follow through. Often the lack of accountability can result in you losing focus.

So what are the benefits of creating a personal development plan?

1. You give a clear message that you take your contribution to business success seriously

2. You can start to work on the areas that are less developed so that you become even more of an asset to your employer

3. If things are not progressing as you would like career wise you can demonstrate to a potential new employer what you can contribute with real impact

4. You take informed choices about the type of roles you pursue rather than leaving it to chance

5. You continue to grow, be motivated and stretch yourself to achieve what you desire

Take the first step towards to realising and exploiting your real professional and earning potential.

Inner Guidance

Inner Guidance
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jack_Elias]Jack Elias

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are supposed to help us tap inner power and intelligence to create a better life outwardly and to experience more enjoyable emotional states inwardly. We can name this power and intelligence, Inner Guidance.

Some people are inclined to have an orientation of Self Power. These people insist on an orientation of self-reliance. Some people have an orientation of Other Power and these people are willing to ask for help.

Self Power people will consider messages from Inner Guidance to be their own inner voice.

Other Power people, while having their own inner voice, are happy and willing to call for aid from other Higher Powers and accept Inner Guidance from Inner Guides.

Both kinds of people may feel blocked from accessing Inner Guidance (of either type) by the chatter of their minds. Both may think, “I have to stop this chatter” when they want to access inner guidance. Such thinking generally just becomes part of the chatter and frustration arises.

The Secret: never fight with your blocks. Never try to stop blocking chatter. Instead shift to thinking about what you want.
For example, to access Inner Guidance, ignore your chattering mind, close your eyes, take a deep breath and think, “Guidance” as you exhale. Do this for a few breathes, then rest with normal breathing and calmly think “Guidance” every few seconds with a sense of offering all your concerns to “Guidance.”

Notice what comes.

Do this simple practice repeatedly during the day, giving yourself shorts breaks to tap into inner support, however you conceive of it. Find out how you feel at the end of a day of such practice in self care staying attuned to “Guidance.”

What is Spirituality

What is Spirituality?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Terje_Ellingsen]Terje Ellingsen

Spirituality Is Inner Joy of life or a higher frequency of consciousness. Scientifically joy or excitement is defined as an energy state higher than normal. This higher energy state can manifest itself in two different forms:

as a higher frequency, or
as a higher power at the same frequency, such as turning up the volume.

Higher consciousness is consciousness at a higher frequency than normal, thus inner joy equals higher consciousness. What this mean is that inner joy and excitement is the portal or opening of your conscious mind to the excitement that already exists within your inner self, also known as your higher self or soul. And your soul is the real you. The other part of your self is what we call the outer self which is your outward-oriented consciousness that focuses on the challenges of the outher physical world. You can always trust your inner self because it acts as your true inner guide.

In contradiction to your outward self, the frequency of your inner self’s consciousness exists within a frequency band which is higher. When your conscious mind catches even a glimpse of that spiritual essence within you, you will feel the joy and excitement caused by the higher frequency. So when you communicate with your inner self you are in an exhilarating process. The more you are in contact with your inner self the more excitement you feel. Inner joy or excitement is actually a barometer of contact with your soul – the real you. Let this be your guidance. The closer and more intimate your contact becomes, the more inner joy you’ll experience.

Now, what should I do to connect with my soul or higher self? I recommend that you try this meditation technique. It has worked for many and it may work for you as well. Here are the steps:

Focus on your breath. Breath slow and even. Keep your attention on the flow of breath as it passes in and out of your nostrils.

On each in-breath, repeat the affirmation “I am Infinite Being.”

On each exhale, follow the flow of air from your nostrils. Allow each exhale to take twice as long as each in-breath. This will induce an immediate tranquilizing effect.

Repeat this breathing cycle for 20 minutes.
